Cece Boozer Height Age And The Untold Story Behind The Nbas Most Remarkable Sports Mom

Between discussions about the March Madness bracket and NBA Draft predictions, a question about Cece Boozer’s height keeps coming up in search results. It seems like a straightforward request. If you take the time to get to know the woman behind the question, you’ll see that her height is probably the least intriguing aspect of her.

Although Cece Boozer’s precise height has not been made public, she is thought to be above average in stature as a former Division I volleyball player at NC State. Anyone who has witnessed her dominate a Duke arena sideline in specially designed courtside fits would likely concur that she carries herself like someone who has always known how to take up space in a room.

Cece, whose real name is Cindy Nichole Blackwell, was raised in a home that valued both academic discipline and athletic ambition. People who only learned about her during the 2025–2026 college basketball season are surprised to learn that she went on to play Division I volleyball for North Carolina State University. That has a subtle poetic quality. Fate stepped in at Duke.

At the campus bookstore in 1999, Cece, then a 20-year-old senior, saw Carlos Boozer, a 17-year-old tall and promising freshman who had just moved from Juneau, Alaska to play basketball for the Blue Devils. Using the student directory, she found Carlos on her own initiative and invited him to dinner. Nowadays, a lot of people tell that story, and it never quite loses its appeal.

Carlos and CeCe married on August 10, 2002, in Durham, North Carolina, following a few years of courtship. They had three sons, Carmani, and fraternal twins, Cameron and Cayden, during their marriage. What transpired was more than just the union of a former collegiate athlete and a future NBA All-Star. Though it would take years and a medical emergency before the world began to take notice, it was the start of one of the more genuinely touching family tales in recent sports history.

Shortly after his birth, Carmani Boozer was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. It’s difficult to imagine hearing that news, and it’s even more difficult to imagine Cece’s subsequent actions. She didn’t wait for her options to be presented by the medical establishment. She started searching. Cece came to the conclusion that a bone marrow transplant utilizing stem cells from a sibling’s umbilical cord offered the best chance of recovery.

Cece decided to undergo IVF with a preimplantation genetic diagnosis because she and Carlos both had sickle cell trait, which increased the risk of natural conception. Out of ten tested embryos, two had perfect genetic matches. Cameron and Cayden were born from those two embryos. Carmani received the stem cells that were extracted from the twins’ umbilical cord. The boy survived. Before they could walk, his brothers saved his life.

After more than ten years of marriage, Carlos and CeCe got divorced in 2015. The breakup was difficult, the kind that seldom ends amicably when two people who had once created something genuine together and three children are involved. What is evident to the public is that they have both been able to maintain their composure in crucial situations. Carlos and CeCe have a friendly co-parenting relationship despite their divorce; they regularly show up together to cheer on their twin sons, Cameron and Cayden, at basketball games. Regardless of their individual pasts, it seems clear from watching them both courtside at Cameron Boozer’s games this season that they both know what the situation demands of them.

Throughout the 2025–26 season, CeCe Boozer, the mother of Cameron and Cayden Boozer, has been a constant in the stands, frequently donning specially made attire to show her support for her sons. At the Duke-UNC rivalry game, a single appearance quickly went viral on social media. It was more than the attire. The energy was the cause. She was unable to control herself more than she was acting for the cameras. This woman seems to have spent many years maintaining her composure under duress and has earned the right to be a little vocal about this specific triumph.

Beyond her role as a basketball mother, Cece is most recognized for her tenacious advocacy and tenacity during a family health crisis that ultimately shaped the twins’ lives. She founded and oversees a number of residential homes and assisted living facilities designed especially for adults with special needs. It wasn’t an accident that she went from being a sports parent to a healthcare entrepreneur. Because the motivation was never abstract, it began when she established a facility to care for her own mother. From there, it grew into the kind of origin story that usually results in businesses that actually succeed.

The algorithm might look for Cece Boozer’s height. The record actually reveals someone who has been tall in every aspect, including asking the boy to dinner, choosing the more difficult medical route, starting a business out of a personal crisis, and then showing up courtside in a custom Duke outfit to witness the NBA success of the children she brought into the world. Cece Boozer continues to be a significant figure whose legacy is shaped by the lives she saved and the champions she raised, even as she gets ready to watch her sons join the NBA in 2026. Whether or not the precise centimeters are ever confirmed, that is an interesting tale.
