Georgia Kousoulou Weight Loss: Inside the TOWIE Star’s Three-Stone Transformation

Georgia Kousoulou Weight Loss Inside The Towie Stars Three Stone Transformation

Georgia Kousoulou is well aware of the specific type of Instagram photo that can start a chain reaction. A bikini, a mirror, and a casual caption that reads, “just a mum trying to get a bikini pic” caused the comments to divide into two groups within hours. One side applauded. The other side asked, not always politely, how she arrived so quickly.

This summer, it occurred once more in Dubai, close to husband Tommy Mallet and their two kids. Georgia described it as “one from the Dubai drafts” while posing in a two-piece with a leopard print, and she saw thousands of likes. She looked amazing, according to some admirers. Others said that, in terms of an Instagram grid, she had gone too far. This year, the same script has been used at least three times, and Georgia appears to have a prepared response by now.

Since giving birth to her daughter Gigi in November 2024, she has lost about three stones, and the rapidity of her weight loss has raised suspicions. Ozempic is frequently brought up in her comments, sometimes as an accusation and other times as something akin to a compliment, as if losing weight quickly is only significant if it is accompanied by a jab. Georgia has resisted this on multiple occasions, and her current approach has an edge to it, as if she is sick of defending herself but still feels compelled to.

She wrote back in July, “People hate to see it because they can’t imagine doing the hard work themselves”, which sounds more like a minor complaint that has finally been voiced than a denial. She stated that she has nothing against taking medication to lose weight, but she briefly considered it before deciding to take a different approach. She stated somewhat defiantly, “I have done it 10000 times before”, directing fans to old bikini pictures from her TOWIE days as evidence that this body type isn’t brand-new but rather has just been rediscovered.

Her description of her work is not as glamorous as the final images would imply. Use Weight Watchers to monitor your diet. lifting weights twice a week. three sessions of Pilates. Then there is the inexpensive treadmill that was purchased on Amazon, installed at home, and used nearly every night after everyone else has gone to bed. She acknowledges that it sounds a little depressing to say aloud that she watches The Kardashians while strolling. Her statement that “everyone in the house is asleep, and I don’t have to think about anything” is believable because it isn’t aspirational. More than fitness content, it sounds like exhaustion management.

It’s important to keep in mind what preceded the change. Georgia has talked about using IVF to conceive Gigi and how she was “the biggest I have ever been” during the process not because she was neglected, she maintains, but rather because the costs of fertility treatment don’t allow for much self-control. She claims that before pregnancy and IVF changed things, she was naturally slender in her twenties during her TOWIE years. It’s difficult to tell from the outside whether that’s the complete picture or a simplified version of it; bodies and the narratives people tell about them seldom match up exactly.

The wedding is another. After getting married in a smaller legal ceremony the year before, Georgia and Tommy had a second, more extravagant wedding in Spain in May. This type of two-part wedding has practically become a TOWIE tradition. She claims that the wedding gave her a goal to strive for, a deadline that made going to the gym seem less optional. It’s a well-known incentive that any bride can relate to, but it seems a bit strange given her insistence that this is just “her healthy self” making a comeback rather than a performance tailored to an occasion.

The timeline is further complicated by the bronchitis scare with baby Gigi in December, which is easily overlooked among the bikini pictures. Before Gigi returned home in time for Christmas, the family had to endure what Georgia called a terrifying week while she was in the hospital and required oxygen support. Although weight loss and family crises don’t typically make headlines together, Georgia experienced both during the same period of time, which may explain why she sounds more agitated than arrogant when detractors push the Ozempic line. She’s not merely taking care of her body. By all accounts, she is in charge of a household that has had a difficult year.

Publicly, other reality stars have taken the opposite approach. Gemma Collins has openly discussed the use of weight loss injections, describing the outcomes as effortless. Georgia, on the other hand, continues to insist on the hard work, the late-night treadmill sessions, the calorie tracking, and the years of experience having “always worked under pressure” as she puts it. It’s difficult to ignore the amount of effort she puts into defending the technique itself, as if the way she loses weight is more important to her than the actual weight.

It remains to be seen if the scrutiny ever subsides. Jab or no jab, public figures who undergo noticeable weight loss typically endure this cycle indefinitely, and Georgia’s notoriety was based on a program where strangers frequently made comments about her body. Despite leaving TOWIE in 2021, she seems to have remained in the spotlight. She says she doesn’t care what people think for the time being. “I’m happy”, she wrote, “so enjoy your negative comments if it makes you feel better”. Even though the comments continue to come in, it sounds like someone has decided that most of the explanation is done.
