Awards

Towards the end of each term the Instructors assess all their swimmers, matching their ability to a certificate with badge. Parents are then given the opportunity to purchase a certificate and a sew on that badge for their child to celebrate their effort.

On the last lesson of each term the classes join together to have a pool party with music and we have an awards ceremony where each swimmer is called up to receive their certificate and badge.  This is something all the swimmers look forward to throughout the term and is a lovely way to finish the term on a real high, leaving the swimmers feeling proud of themselves and knowing they have accomplished something!

Below is a list of Awards and Badges and the order they are achieved in.

Our Instructors have a list of criteria that swimmers have to complete in order to gain a badge.  Please be aware that it is important the children are allowed to develop at their own rate.  We will never push the children further than they are capable, although we will always encourage and support swimmers to strive for their swimming goals.

Below is the criteria list for each badge, although please be aware that all the criteria needs to be fulfilled to a good standard and swimmers must show confidence in completing each given task.  This ensures swimmers are not progressed to quickly and supports positive learning.
